Darius + Mariah Micheal ~ 11.19.22
There’s nothing else better than seeing a beautiful young black couple in love. It’s even better when their love for one another blossoms into the beginnings of a lifelong marriage and partnership. This can be said for Darius and Mariah Micheal. The two wed at The Olde Silk Mill in Fredricksburg ,VA, which is a beautiful and rustic venue. On their wedding day you could see the love that these two have for each other.
Spending the few moments I had with both of them as I took their portraits, you could feel the anticipation as they were getting ready to come together in matrimony. Then, before they knew it, the time had come. Two hundred and thirty guests comprised of family and friends arrived from all over with smiles on their faces ready to witness Darius and Mariah become one. It was evident the way Darius lit up when Mariah was escorted down the aisle, that she made his life complete and he made hers whole as well. Their wedding ceremony was officiated by Darius’ Father, Dwight Micheal Sr., which was great moment to watch him join the two in marriage. The two exchanged vows and placed rings on each other’s hands then said their “I Do’s” to each other. Darius goes in to kiss his bride, making it official. Darius and Mariah were now newly wed and they smiled ear to ear all the way back down the aisle.
The reception was just as beautiful. All of the decorations and lighting set the tone for the rest of the night. The entire wedding party was introduced with joy and laughter. Then the room exploded when Darius and Mariah’s names were introduced. They entered the room hand in hand both with the biggest smiles on their faces as they approached the dance floor and proceeded with their first dance. The Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances were full of feel good and heartfelt moments and the Toasts were genuine, honest, and full of marital wisdom. Then the DJ cut loose and everyone danced the night away until it was time for Darius and Mariah’s send off. It was an amazing day and memorable evening to say the least!
